Elizabeth A. Nicholson, L.C.S.W. is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in counseling and consulting with adults and adolescents and their families.
Ms. Nicholson has had many years of clinical experience treating a wide range of conditions including anxiety and stress, depression, and psychosocial issues.
Ms. Nicholson earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and graduated from the Institute for Environmental Studies both from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin. She also attended Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel. She obtained her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia.
Ms. Nicholson has been providing individual, group and family therapy for adults, adolescents and elders since 1998. She started her counseling career in the Atlanta area at the well respected Anchor and Peachford Hospitals.
More recently Ms. Nicholson has worked in social services at the local Crisis Stabilization Program at Southwestern State Hospital. As part of her duties at Southwestern State Hospital she provides individual counseling with adults with chronic, acute psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and developmental disabilities, supplies patient education and advises caregivers. Ms. Nicholson is also a Field Instructor for Thomas University bachelor’s level social work students.
